The Salem MA Farmer's Market, held each Thursday from 3-7 in Derby Square, is off to a strong start for the season. Its opening week drew an estimated 4000 shoppers vs. last year's 2800 / week average. This year, the market expanded to 30 vendors in order to offer a greater variety of food. An organic farm and 2 wineries were added this year.
